Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026
FindMyCU (“we,” “us”) operates a directory that helps people discover and join credit unions. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to findmycu.com and our related tools.
Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry or membership-interest form, request a rate alert, post a review, or create an account, we collect what you enter — typically your name, email, ZIP code, and the product or credit union you're interested in.
- Information collected automatically. Basic usage data (pages viewed, approximate location from your device, and standard log/device information) to operate and improve the service.
- Public credit union data. Directory content is sourced from public NCUA records and from credit unions that manage their own listings. This is not personal information about you.
How we use information
- To connect you with a credit union you ask to be introduced to, and to let that credit union follow up with you.
- To send rate alerts or updates you request (you can unsubscribe at any time from your account).
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the directory and its tools.
How we share information
When you submit a membership-interest or inquiry form for a specific credit union, we share the details of that submission with that credit union so they can respond. We use service providers (such as hosting, database, and email delivery) that process data on our behalf under contract.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe from rate alerts and manage your reviews and saved credit unions from your account.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us (see below). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; we'll revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
